Finally have my bat box erected

Finally have my bat box erected. Praying the brownies find it nice and snug. It’s mounted high on the chimney far away for any climbing predators could even think of getting to.

Thank you so much, Lisa! 🦇 It sounds like you’ve found a great high-up spot for your bat house, with plenty of thought given to keeping potential predators away. Now comes the exciting part—waiting for your new bat neighbors to discover their cozy home! Fingers crossed the brownies move in soon. Keep us posted!

Bad Screw on the Inside

It’s taking me three years to finally get around to putting up the bathhouse I bought from you for my wife. So I was very disappointed when I looked inside to figure out how to mount it on the pole that I bought specifically for bat houses. That’s when I discovered one of the screws went in shallow and splintered one of the slats inside.

Other than that, it looks nice. I just hope this amount is the right one!

Wild Yard has excellent service and a very high quality product!

Wild Yard is an excellent company to deal with. I received a slightly damaged Big Bat Box. I reached out to them and was same day offered a new bat box or my money back. The new bat box arrived in 1 day. The Bat Box is a very quality item and constructed very well. Everywhere a screw was used has a plug installed over the hole to hide the external screws- now that is top notch quality!

Hi Larry, thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear you're pleased with the quality of our bat house and our quick service. We appreciate your support and hope it provides many safe nights for your bats!

Unsure about product

It was only after delivery and reading mounting instructions that I learned that 2-chamber houses not recommended for poles.
Also, 1/4 inch cedar sides made drilling mounting holes difficult. Thicker sides would have made this project much more fun!
You can do better than 1 %

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Our two-chamber houses are best for wall mounting or paired setups on poles, not single-pole installs. The ¼-inch cedar is chosen to keep weight low and temperatures stable for the bats, though it can make drilling trickier.

We appreciate your feedback—it helps us keep improving build quality and mounting ease while maintaining the bat-safe, conservation-grade design that defines the Big Bat Box. Thanks for supporting wildlife!

The box was shipped via USPS

The box was shipped via USPS. It went from your warehouse to Portland Oregon, then to Washington D.C, Then back across the states to Eugene Oregon and finally to Bend Or. The top of the box has a hole in it and a hole in the Bat Box. Foam sheet would of stopped the damage. A big plus is to let the customer to pick how the box should be shipped. I would of picked UPS or FEDEX. and paid the extra cost. Unless proper boxing and different shipping is allowed I doubt that I will use your business again.

Hi Bruce, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the shipping process of your two-chamber bat house. We will definitely take your feedback into consideration and make improvements to our packaging and shipping options. We appreciate your suggestion of using UPS or FedEx and will look into offering that as an option for future orders. Thank you for your business and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

Excited to start

I can't yet speak to how well this actually attracts bats, because after purchasing, I realized for my living situation, I'll need to build/buy a stand or pole for my box HOWEVER, the box came in excellent condition, looks great, and the dedication to the health of the bats and the humans using these boxes is obvious. A lot of care went into the product, and it shows in the quality.

Thanks for the kind words, Will! Glad to hear the box arrived in great shape. You're right—pole or wall mounting works best since trees can be too shady and leave bats exposed to predators. A simple 15-foot pole in a sunny, open spot will give you the best shot at attracting residents. Give it time—bats are picky, but once they move in, they stick around.

Hi Kevin, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry about the color mix-up and the fasteners. Please contact us so we can make this right. We appreciate your understanding and hope to improve your experience.

Was purchased as a birthday gift

Was purchased as a birthday gift, seems to be well built and very sturdy and looks appeasing to the eyes. Now if I can get the bats just to eat all the mosquitoes for her I will be happy hahaha.

Hi Douglas, thank you for your kind words! We're glad the bat house looks great, and fingers crossed the bats will help keep those mosquitoes at bay. Happy to hear it was a good gift choice!

The box it came in was in good condition

The box it came in was in good condition. The bat housesare well built. Haven't put them up yet but can't wait to help the wildlife

Hi Adele,

Glad to hear everything arrived safely and that you’re happy with the build. Once your bat houses are up, the local bats will thank you — they’re some of nature’s best pest control. Thanks for helping support wildlife in your area.
