Warranty Policy
Every WildYard habitat is built to sit outdoors for years. If one of ours fails because of the way it was made, that is on us to put right.
Two years, no registration required
We cover manufacturing and construction defects for two years from the day your order is delivered. You do not need to register your product to be covered. Registering your habitat simply makes a claim faster, because we already have your details.
What is covered
- Joints that split or separate
- Hardware that fails in normal use, or that was missing from the box
- Panels that crack or warp beyond natural timber movement
- Anything that arrives damaged or incomplete
What is not covered
Cedar is a natural material and these habitats live outside. The following are normal, not faults:
- Greying and silvering of untreated cedar
- Surface checking, raised grain and seasonal movement
- Weather staining, moss and algae
- Damage caused by mounting methods or hardware we did not supply, or by modifying, painting or treating the product
- Storm, impact or animal damage
- Normal wear after years outdoors
How to make a claim
- Email wecare@bigbatbox.com with your order number and a photo showing the problem. The photo is the whole process. It tells us what failed and, just as importantly, why, so we can fix it at source.
- We review the photo and come back to you with a decision within one to two business days.
- If it is a defect, we repair or replace it at our cost. In most cases you keep the original, because shipping a cedar habitat back across the country costs more than the box itself. If we do need it returned, we pay the freight.
Where you bought it
This warranty covers products bought at bigbatbox.com. If you bought from Amazon or another retailer, start your claim with them. If you get stuck, email us and we will help you sort it out.
Your legal rights
This warranty is in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not limit them in any way. Customers in the EU and the UK keep the full protection of consumer law, whatever this page says.
