Handcrafted from cedar, bamboo and ply, this bee habitat offers nesting tubes in a range of diameters so different solitary bee species can each find a cavity that fits. Mount it in spring and it works as a nesting site through the season.
Varied tube diameters. Solitary bees are particular about cavity width — mason bees and leafcutters want different bores. A mix of diameters supports a wider range of species than a uniform block.
Solitary bees, not a hive. These are not honeybees and there is no colony, no queen and no honey. Solitary bees are docile, sting rarely, and are the most effective garden pollinators you can host.
Where to put it. Face it south or south-east at roughly chest height, sheltered from driving rain, with flowering plants nearby. Bees need forage within a short flight of the nest.
Cedar, bamboo and ply. Cedar resists rot without chemical treatment; the bamboo tubes give a natural nesting surface. Left to weather it settles into the garden rather than standing out against it.
Seasonal care. Nesting runs spring through late summer, and sealed tubes mean occupancy. Leave them undisturbed over winter — the next generation is developing inside.

A bee box brings helpful pollinators to your garden, boosting blooms and vegetables. Made from eco-friendly bamboo, it gives solitary bees a safe place to nest and lay eggs. It’s easy to hang, built to last through any weather, and adds a cheerful touch to your yard. By supporting bees, you support your garden and the planet at the same time.

The variety of hole sizes in the box supports multiple species, encouraging a healthy mix of pollinators in your garden. These bees are highly effective at pollinating fruit trees, vegetables, and flowers.
Mount the box in a sunny, sheltered location facing south or southeast, about 3–5 feet (1–1.5 meters) above the ground.
Position it near flowers, shrubs, or fruit trees for easy access to food. Avoid areas sprayed with pesticides or herbicides, as these can deter or harm pollinators.
No—solitary bees like mason and leafcutter bees are non-aggressive and rarely sting. They don’t defend their nests the way honeybees or wasps do.
Stings are extremely uncommon and only occur if a bee is mishandled. They’re safe around children and pets, making them perfect for home gardens.
Bees will find the box naturally, but you can increase success by placing it near flower-rich areas and keeping the surroundings pesticide-free.
A small water source nearby helps, as do plants that bloom in succession through spring and summer. With time, bees will use the tubes to lay their eggs, and you’ll see them seal openings with mud or leaves.
A bee box boosts pollination, leading to better harvests of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Unlike honeybees, solitary bees don’t live in hives, so they depend on small cavities like those in this box for nesting.

Purchased this Bee House and Amazon put stickers on the box which had some relevant information - reached out to Customer Service and they got back to me promptly as to the information - very happy!
Also - this house is super well constructed and very detailed. Also has an easy hook for easy fastening.
Once I place mine up in my garden I am confident I will purchase another - Very very highly recommended. There are also good videos online for this product.

We are trying to establish a decent bee habitat to distract them from our decking. This house is well made, with different sized holes and painted cute. You just have to decide where to place it. We put it south facing so it gets plenty of sun.

Really nice, well built, well painted bee house for native solitary bees like masons and leafcutters. Holes diameters range from 2-11mm, and are made from several different materials to provide variety. Top has a robust stainless steel hanger installed. I also added a small L bracket to the bottom to better secure it to a 4x4 post.
UPDATE ... Wanted to give a 1 year update. After sitting in the elements, the paint started to crack on the roof, sides, and back, the yellow top pieces started to warp, and about 1/3 of the bamboo pieces fell out on their own. A hot glue gun fixed the loose bamboo pieces, and a coat of new paint & varnish resealed the wood. I certainly don't expect such a product to last forever in my weather conditions, but it should at least last a few years without need for that level of maintenance. 2 stars off as the piece does remain functional after some rehab.

I love any product that helps sustain and/or helps the pollinator population. The WildYard Bee House is a solidly built bee house, for bees to use for a protected rest stop or home. I used an old bird bath base to set it on which gives puts it about 36" off the ground. Additionally I attached the base to a post and placed it within the bird bath base to keep it solidly in place throughout the season. Once the bushes and flowers grow up around the bee house it will blend in beautifully. It is weather proof and quite attractive and will look nice in my garden.. I love this product and would recommend to anyone like minded in the protection of our precious pollinators.

The house has a small hook only at the top meaning that it naturally leans forward and can swing in the wind. It will do better with more enforcement.
I really enjoy this bee habitat. Its looks pleasing and is handsomely crafted. Out of the box the wood smells freshly cut and organic. Overall feels more premium than I expected.
This will look superb in any garden and is recommended. I included photos and a video so you can understand this product more clearly. You’ll like it.
The bottomline is this works agreeably for both native pollinators as well as their kind neighbors.

It seems to be well made and cute hanging up outside above my garden.Bees are very important with pollinating and in my garden there’s enough flowers for them.If anything,it’s a small way to help the bees and they’re survival.

I think this was a 'return' - it was an old box - there was nothing in the box - no shipping slip or return address where it came from - no phone
number anywhere to ask for assistant. I did hang it up none the less - so
far not a single bee in sight - although I hung it up at a perfect spot.

We live in Austin, Texas a stones throw away from the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Our area has extensive roadside wildflowers spring into summer and we have cultivated numerous types of wildflowers in our gardens and in the yard around our home. We frequently see bees in the Turk’s Cap , Red sage and other wildflowers. Sometimes there are a lot of them working our flower beds. We have tracked the “lines” the bees take when they leave and also as they arrive and are pretty sure that we lie right on a bee line as the two directions are 180 degrees apart(opposites)
I’m putting the box up on the southeast side of a native live oak in the yard with a lot of open flight area around it out to 20’ and more. We can see the box from both patio areas. It should be fun to watch. We’re excited about enhanced pollination activity on our wildflower plantings. It is a great Christmas gift indeed. Will
